Been there a few times, the last time I went they didnt have that ghastly fence up so you could actually see the house. I was drinking in the Kensington Arms fisrt time I went, great pub. Asked the landlord where Freds house was and he said just around the corner. Not really much to see there now.

I don't think you could walk - I think its about 4-6 tube stops from the centre of London depending on where you start.
