Something I've noticed:
Whenever I'm channel-flipping to see different coverage of the Olympics, every time I put it on NBC, an American is competing. Not once has NBC, to my knowledge, shown anything that does not directly involve an American. There's that overly-patriotic nationalistic crap we hear too much about.
On the other hand, Canada's CBC shows everything they possibly can. Of course they are doing all they can to promote Canadian athletes, but they certainly do not limit their airtime to only events involving Canadians.
But of course, I'm not surprised by this difference.

Some of their outfits are outrageous...i swear when I used to skate...I never wore anything like that...
