Good thing this Thomas Quinn fellow isn't God. He's just an angry, frustrated and insignificant troll.

Exactly! ;)
[QUOTENAME]<font color=red>Flash! wrote: [/QUOTENAME]I'm not here to cause chaos and i don't appreciate being insulted and wished to die and starve. Thats just totally over-reaction.
Thanks poppy, atleast a few people can see sense. I would reply to this nicely and respect everyones opinions on this if they just answered me politely.
I didn't ask for nasty remarks at all.
I didn't post this to cause any trouble and i'm not certainly killing anyone...i wouldn't want to in a million years. I do realise it goes to the people who are dying but alot of money from these products have gone to waste.
For example, some shops sell it but hardly any money goes to these suffering people. It just goes purely for financial profit, which is even worse!
Plus, Bob Geldof himself had his say with Margeret Thatcher to try and stop the government from taxing all the donations from these products, etc.
So, unfortunately, whether we like it or not, these africans will still continue to suffer and die. If i had the power to change it i certainly would!
So, i ask for this argument to stop. We shouldn't spend time making matters worse and bursting a few blood vessels whilst doing it.
Peace! Thankyou.
Very well said,darling;)
[QUOTENAME]<font color=red>Flash! wrote: [/QUOTENAME]
ok, that's fair enough. :) I know how you feel btw about being randomly insulted and I'm sorry if I went a bit overboard..it's just that I got the impression you really didn't give a shit.

And of course you're not a heartless, evil, killer like some people in this world..that's ridiculous. And to compare you to the AIDS virus is horrible
i love you all really i just like to be a bastard...only joking. lol
Flash, darling, calm down. These imbeciles do NOT deserve your attention.

"Thanks" : The downloads on QOL are NOT for charity. The blank discs are. Therefore unless you're buying "Queen" blank CDs elsewhere, it's not the same argument.

The Top 100 Bootlegs are for charity - on the Official Download Shop page, http://www.7digital.com/shops/assets/queen/bootlegs.asp, it says:

"Queen donate any profit they make from this to the Mercury Phoenix Trust and EMI will match this donation pound for pound. "

I'm guessing that you are thinking of the Queen + Paul Rogers Europe Live official downloads (since you mention blank cd's), but in my previous post I was referring to the Top 100 Bootlegs project, some of which are available to download for free from QueenZone.

So again, please, what is the difference between downloading a free copy of Live Aid and a free copy of any of The Top 100 Bootlegs?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that it's OK to download Live Aid illegally - I'm actually pointing out that there's so much hypocrisy in here of people criticising one thing whilst essentially doing the same thing themselves.
Don't worry, dear, i'm out of this argument now.
More people have joined the argument and i'm just out of this. I don't want to get myself uptight about it because its simply not worth it anymore.
If anyone wants to continue then let them... i just don't wish to be part of it any longer.
It's not too good for your blood pressure!
"It’s not often we play in daylight, and I fucking well wish we did before, I can see you all now. And there are some beauties here tonight, I can tell you!" ;)
And thankfully, the generator blew out on the two Who songs I'm not too fond off.
Won't Get Fooled Again kicked ass.
And Status Quo gave me a good run for my money.
Seeing the Beach Boys was also nifty.
HE ROCKS US STILL. Proud Supporter of the Queen Lives Compilation
I will buy this *one day* if I ever get the freakin' money.. (though Live at the Bowl is next on my list).

Lemme know - how was "Won't Get Fooled Again"? I reckon it was pretty good at Live 8 but I haven't heard the Live Aid version before.
Lol where was wham!!!! did they lose that footage?
purples a fruit
Wham! where there?? huh?

Nice to see that through all the variables, my level of popularity is a constant.

I concede the point about the top 100 bootlegs being for charity, and confirm I must have been thinking of the Europe 2005 downloads.

So, I need another point. How about this one, previously unheard in these 7 pages....the top 100 bootlegs are in INFERIOR quality to the downloads that occasionally pop up here. On the other hand, the Live Aid DVD is SUPERIOR to any possible download or VHS copy, both in video and sound quality.

Coincidentally, this is also an argument for shelling out on the DVD if only for the Queen content.

Moving on, someone said that Zeppelin were rubbish on the day. Well, that person didn't notice that Zeppelin were missing from the sample list I gave, due to their performance not appearing on the DVD. Had I included Zep on the list, someone would have jumped down my throat pointing this out.

Finally, notwithstanding the fact that most responses to the SAMPLE list did acknowledge somebody that each poster thought was OK, which sort of supports the point I was making, obviously too subtly, that the DVD should have something else of interest to most Queen fans who actually listen to other music given the breadth of talent on show.

Finally, how many times has the original poster posted in this thread that they want no more to do with it? Either contribute or don't open the thread...
Double post due to the original not appearing at the bottom of the page. It actually belongs under "Wham! were there? Where?"
