Oh, excellent - they have made the material that is so readily available on the CD set available yet again!

How exciting and so fucking predictable that QPL should feel the need to offer us the opportunity to buy all of this again.

Yeah, call me when they release the Hot Space DVD.

Its a shame they've only put Sweet Lady on. Rather than doing something great and putting the whole Hyde Park gig on, they've been ultra lazy with the second disc of the 30th version of ANATO.

The single disc looks better (complete Classic Albums broadcast)....

The 2-disc compliation is just yet another money making scheme...

I'll be buying the former, whether it has Sweet Lady from Hyde Park on it or not.

This is yet another rip off - how many times are we expected to buy the same album? OK, so this does have a fairly interesting documentary, but this should have been included on the 30th Anniversary issue, instead of stupid bloody seaside videos. Nice to get a full track from Hyde Park, but hell, where's the rest of it? I'll buy this, of course I will, but it's about time some of the other albums were concentrated on for DVD-A. Are we going to get the same next year for ADATR?

Here's a thought as an alternative :

Why not release a "Classic Albums" show for every album, and have that as part of a CD/DVD release, and for the CD disc release outtakes, demos etc from the album?

I've always thought that previous releases haven't been a complete rip off, but the 30th Anniversary ANATO was just a waste of time. Rendered void by this release.

Please don't do it again Queen Productions. I am going to very careful now when they release something "new", I'm not gonna rush out and buy it straight away.

To be honest, I think a "Classic Albums" set for every album would be mis-titled, as some of the albums were certainly not "classics". "Classic Albums - Hot Space", anyone? Think not. I also think that studio documentaries have a limited scope, and after a few albums worth, would become uninteresting, but outtakes, demos, alternative mixes, and perhaps a short retrospective review of each album from Brian and Roger would be nice. I just hope we have seen the last of ANATO for a while - classic is may be, but it's starting to get on my tits!

They should've stuck to the Box Set format, just released it over a period of time, as opposed to one big promotion costing say, £150.

That way people could have picked and chose what stuff they wanted....

But revisiting Sheer Heart Attack as a "Classic Album" would rock...A Night At The Opera is overrated in my opinion to be honest. It's good, very good, but not great. Not in my top 3 favourites.

What I'm more interested in is why people on this board blow a fuse when they (Queen) try to make money. God forbid, you know?

There's always a good piece of advice in these situations... If you don't like it, then don't buy it! And in this situation, that's merely the second choice. The first would be to avoid the one with the dvd album disc and just get the one with the docu on it. Either that, or download the copy that has been circulating these forums.
