Yes, we're going to spank all spammers

Ooo. Spank? Hmm.

I've finished that scene I mentioned. Thanks for your info Queen of Wrestling. Much appreciated.

I'm about to do another. The one I did wasn't physical, it was a set piece. A foreshadowing of this scene, which IS physical. So can I pick your generous brain some more? If I'm asking too much, tell me, and I'll go away quietly. :-)

The guy in this scene is not as big as the one my heroine feared. This is the kind of guy you'd think was 'safe'. He's stocky - okay, heavy, fat, etc. - but quick on his feet, and most importantly, ANGRY. He's into power-play, and she's a little bit of a thing. He thinks he can subdue her instantly, but she's not into waving white flags.

Say he comes up behind her... can you give me a possible scenario of how things might play out? (btw - the Hero does come in and save the day, but the heroine puts up a damn good fight for herself until he gets there.)

Well if he came up behind her and there was no dialogue, he probably would grab her from behind and cup his hand over her mouth- like a chokehold.

Because our girl here knows her stuff, she would probably fire a few elbows to the rib until he let go. Then, she could either stare him off until your hero arrives or if she wants a fight, remember the groin kick.

Then to make your Hero more manly, he should trade punches and then get some really good move like an uppercut or even cooler like a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick to the head or maybe some throws.

Tell me what you think and I'll get back to you.

Haha, she should dominate him with Wing Chun, which is one of the most effective close quarters arts for small people, particularly women. Too bad it takes many, many years before one is able to use it efficiently. Then they should make a movie about it.

I think your scenerio is super. Logical, effective, yet not overly complicated. My heroine thanks you.

Well, I'm not clear on Wing Chun, but I sure do like the idea of them making a movie about it... 'it' being my book, of course.

I'll have to mention that to my agent.

;-)

Kidding.

Thought of one more thing... what would HE do to HER? He wouldn't just let her elbow him, he'd... ?

And I checked a Wing Chun website, browsed it briefly and noticed mention of proper 'distancing'. Is that something I can use to either help or hurt my heroine?

Wang Chun, screw that- she's gotta go full-on Matrix Kung-Fu with the mid air kick and the superman thing.

All in slow-mo, right? With sound effects and all? hehe.

I had one more question above your last post...

Go ahead- and do you have MSN? Because that could make this easier

Actually, I'm sorry, I don't have MSN. I think gmail has chat, though. Haven't used it yet, but I can try to figure it out. Would that work?

For now, I only have this one question... I was wondering what the bad guy would do to my heroine. I have her defensive moves clear, but what would he be doing offensively?

btw - if gmail is easier, my gmail account is NYauthor@gmail.com

if you mean his motive, it would probably be to rob or rape her

but if you mean what he will do, if he is bigger, he's more likeley to push or throw his wieght around.

I did mean what would he do to her physically. Motive I have. :-)

Thanks for all this! I think I'm ready to get this scene on the page.

He would probably push, choke- basically throw his weight around. Maybe a backhand to her head but probably nothing to fancy.

Yes, I'm sure this is exactly what she's looking for.
