If you are going to quote lines from the TV at least get them right.

The point of that show was to get washed up kids out of there crap lives, and you know what, he did it, and showed them what they could achieve, personally I think he did a great job with a bunch of ungreatful numpties.

If one of them goes on to make something of themselves he can be proud of what he did, can any of you claim to have changed someones life to that extent?

And you know what, Kiss were huge.
i like the term you use, washed up kids, there only at school give em a chance lol, you could say it worked in many ways but it didnt, there not rock stars, its just money in genes pocket,
none of them were musically talented, only the 2 girls that played piano, the rest were just basic, anyone can do it.
Well if you look at the school you will see it was chosen because these kids were what is termed 'problem' kids, with little hope and few talents. hence the trem 'washed up'

Harsh to a degree but accurate. As for "anyone could do it" Wrong, not anyone could stand up in front of 20,000 people and play (badly) what he did was give them hope, which I think was worth every penny in his pocket!

it was an ordinairy school i think, 3 membersd of the darkness went there apparently,
purples a fruit
The school was chosen because the catchment area was full of underprivileged families on low income. The kids participating were pretty well all from those backgrounds, single parent, or no parent as in the drummers case. The bass player had been on drugs and had been sleeping under the peir. Not one of them came from a stable background, that was the whole point of the show to take underprivileged kids and show them what they could become if they worked at it.

If they had wanted an average school then they would have selected one in the home counties. but no they chose a school in an area that has one of the highest unemployment figures and little prospects.

That was the point of the series as a contrast from the public school in the prior series which is one of the top public schools in the country.

He does come over as a bit of a prick but hey, it works. I'm always interested in what happened to Paul Stanley? He still around?

Here's one for the Q+PR haters... KISS is only really 2 members of the original line-up these days, Stanley and Simmons.

They gave Ace Frehley the kick because of his persisting drug problems; it wasn't even him playing at the Salt Lake City Olympics ceremony, was it? Maybe a different show, but I heard he was replaced for some tour or performance.
No idea if they still work with him on albums or not.
rock school was wicked!

Paul's just completed a solo album. It's supposed to come out this summer, followed by a Paul solo tour.

That was him at the Olympics -- it was his last appearance with the band before he left again. It was the American Bandstand anniversary show where Tommy Thayer played in Ace's makeup.

They don't work with him anymore. They tried to get him back for the Kiss/Aerosmith tour in 2003 but he wouldn't do it. He went into rehab after he left Kiss again and has been pretty much been laying low and sporadically working on a solo album (the same solo album he said he was working on back in 1997...lol)
