Did Freddie ever write classical

because i was watching the classical music channel and i saw a peice called nocturne and it said it was composed by F.Mercury..

Can anyone confirm this?

I would think that it's a classical composition that either has pieces of Bo Rhap in it, or is a symphonic interpretation of the whole song altogether. Either way, it happens, maybe more commonly than we think.

But i'm still a little curious about this:

Yeah, seems it is some Freddie written song that played by some classical musician.

Freddie wrote in classical manner. His harmonies are mainly Classical or Bluesy.

I just bought the CD BARCELONA last week.

Amazing music!!!
It helps if you like classical music. I think the headbanger rockers might have a problem appreciating it.

Freddie's voice sounds better than I expected and Monserrat has a gorgeous crystal clear soprano that melds magically with Freddie.

It would be an easy introduction to operatic/classical music for the uninitiated.

Why it can't be a remix between this nocturne not by Freddie and Bo Rhap by Freddie?

While Barcelona shows the vocal talents of The Great Fred, it in no way offers an opera/classical music fan much more than that. It is highly unstructured and seems quite stale at times. In fact, it doesn't even begin to display what Montserrat had been doing for years.

As for the writing of the material, I think Mike Moran had more to do with that than Freddie, in so far as arrangments and such.

I'm reading a Queen biography, and in 1977, Freddie danced with the Royal Ballet Company, and they "classiced" Boh Rap and Killer Queen up. He had the time of his life, gracefully dancing to his masterpieces, played by the London Symphony Orchestra. Hope that clears it up.
