Sapporo 6.5.79 (mp3 and FLAC)

Just asking a small favour...

I'm in the process of cataloguing my bootleg collection and would like to know for certain whatever the flac download is indeed flac or mp3?

To my ears it sounds very similar to Osaka 20.04.1979, which I have already in mp3 (in excellent quality), but I'm no expert on judging the difference so could someone who did download the flac version provide an answer please?

Don't bother with this Flac Download, it is a lossy copy encoded from MP3.

In order to find out you need EAC (Exact Audio Copy) and run a frequency analisis.

Yep, spectrum analysis says dropoff at about 16khz and gaps between the tracks checked.
Most tracks have sbe's.
This is most likely mp3 sourced.
Too bad.

Another big disappointment. How can people be so stupid? Whoever encoded this fully knew that they were polluting the trade pool.

even if the FLACs are mp3 sourced then you still can get it in mp3

The point is, flac is supposed to be LOSSLESS audio. It's not truly lossless if you did MP3 > WAV > FLAC.

i didn't. that is how i got them. someone else must have done mp3>wav>flac
