This cracks me up.

My limited knowledge on WW2 codebreaking says that even though the Brits cracked the Enigma machine, there were still parts they had to figure out and this took months. I don't know how exactly it works, but read Sir Martin Gilbert's The Second World War and you'll see what I mean.

This link just may be a reference to a different code that the Germans used later in the war.

The "famous" Enigma machine had 3 "rotors". These message was encoded using a machine with 5 rotors, that's why they couldn't decode it.
