Glad to see the addition of Dragon Attack.
Great Song, will be interesting to see/hear how Danny compares to John. Judging by AOBTD I think he will do a good job but it will take a lot to beat Deaky.
When I was at the Birmingham NEC Show last year I swore I heard them practicing it during the warm up before the show. If it was DA then it sounded pretty good from outside.
I was hoping it would turn up during the UK leg but looks like it took a bit longer for them to be happy with it.
I too am a little disappointed that I Want it All has been dropped and now also Say It's Not True although that might come back. Maybe Roger just didn't feel up to singing it on the night. How did it go down in Miami? Maybe it didn't get the response they expected in Miami and decided to drop it. I did have a feeling it might go following Roger's comments about it during the Rockline radio interview, although Brian seemed keen to keep it in. maybe Seagull will come back :-)
I do think more additions will be made as the tour continues. Just look at the European Tour. The early shows had less tracks than the later ones. The setlist grew with the introduction of Roger's Drum Solo, AOBTD, Under Pressure etc.
I think there is room for at least two more songs in the main body of the show and another one in the encore, but they probably want to get settled in first.
Only time will tell, but whatever the setlist I am sure I will enjoy the California shows.

People do know Radio Ga-Ga more than I Want It All in the US by the way. Ga-Ga was at least a Top-40 single (and seen at Live-Aid). I Want It All was an FM hit from almost 20 years ago....
I Want It All and Radio GaGa should both be in the setlist, both are exellent songs
So what do you want? I'm just wondering, because some say things like "Radio GaGa wasn't a big hit over here, so they shouldn't play it.", meaning that US hits should be played. Others want songs to be played that are basically unknown to the general public. So what should they do to please everyone? Re-enact a tour setlist from 1978 and add a few bits from The Miracle and Innuendo?

The point about Radio Ga Ga by fact, is that it's not a well-known American track. The opinion(mine that is) is that it is one of the weaker songs ever to be released as a single. So, for that reason, I wish they would either play a better received hit, or use the spot open for another more obscure album track that is both a better song, and better suited for the tour.
To me the most intriguing thing about this track live is the curiosity as to how many concert patrons will do the overhand clap/video thing. Thoes that do, identify themselves as true Queen fans, kind of like those who sing 'Love of my Life'. Ultimately with this point, if you are going to get rid of 'A Kind of Magic' because this is the USA, then please do the same with 'Ga Ga' because the reasons are just as relevant, but the song isn't, to me, nearly as good as 'Magic'. I think of all the 80's hits, 'I Want To Break Free' would be the most keepable, because in spite of it's early reception(due to the video), I think it has grown as a more well received later Queen track.
I still want to see Paul do 'Prophet Song' just for shits and giggles.

I'm sorry don't know much about what songs were on USA big hits, but any songs like ,,miracle, scandal, innuendo, headlong, breakthru, a winters tale, heaven for everyone, let me live'' weren't hits? any of them maybe?
I would hazard a guess that no one but die hard Queen fans would know any of those songs, Going Back. You have to remember, Queen ruled the US at the time of The Game. Hot Space was a big mistake that alienated their fans, but once they entered their synth/pop era, Queen virtually disappeared from rock radio in North America. I think in Europe, Queen is loved a pop/rock band, where their later stuff is as well received as their early stuff. In North America, it's the opposite where people hate everything from AKOM on.
Going Back: "Headlong" was an FM radio hit (got a decent amount of airplay on rock stations) but wasn't a Top 40 single. So many of Queen's songs are like this (especially some '70s album tracks) that I wish they'd make an "FM Hits" compilation or something (with a more creative title of course!)...all the songs people know but aren't actual Top 40 singles.

I agree with your points especially about The Game period. This album spawned two No1 singles in the US and the Hot Space album buried their career. They have always been more popular in Europe since the early 80's with their more pop/synth approach.
In a nut shell, Queen were more of an albums band/rock band in the 70's (they're best decade in my opinion) and became more of a singles/ video band in the eighties as they changed their style to match the times. Innuendo is the only album from the 80's-90's period that is anything like their classic albums of the seventies like Queen 2, SHA, NATO, ADATR, NOTW so in a way they're a victim of their changing style especially in the US.
What's probably saved Brian & Roger from possible total humiliation other than die-hard Queen fans and insatiable curiosity,is the fact that Paul Rodgers and Bad Company are well known in the US so his fans will turn up to see him regardless. Using the name Queen has put more bums on seats as with the European tour. It's more of a draw than Roger, Brian and Paul Rodgers that's for sure!! Brian May has been a support act for Guns'n'Roses in the US so this proves my point.
