Hey i want to get a recording of the show i go to but i dont want to bring my $200 mp3 player with a chance of it getting taken away. does any one have a tip on how i could record this concert some how

clip on mics are usually pretty easy to hide on yourself. put it on your trouser pocket.

Personally, I put the mic in my pocket, and put my mp3 player down the front of my jeans (which are reasonably baggy. Anyone patting me down would not have patted me intimately, and my pcokets would have felt like keys/wallet/phone etc - normal stuff.
Once in I then put the mp3 player in my pocket, clipped the mic on to my shirt and I was ready to go.

If it was recorded to an mp3 type player and was recorded using a mic in someones pocket... it AIN'T worth hearing.
Unless the mp3 player recorded in WAV, thus providing the ONLY recording of the concert in question...

They actually have to give everything they confiscate back to you after the show!
I got caught with some 'devises' couple of times - always got it back afterwards.

So - if you get caught, make sure you keep your tape running - so you always have evidence afterwards if they molest you ;-)
