Definitely. I like this concert much better than ROTC which I did not buy, I only have the 1 hour TV presentation. The Japanese concert has the better set list, better light, it's far better filmed than the hectic ROTC and it has a bonus disc with backstage footage from the Budapest concert.

Certainly will be, however I have to dissagree with Your Val, I think the ROTC is a great DVD, in terms of making it feel like being there, I think it does a much better job than any previous Queen dvd, if it had Fred on it, then it would have been perfect!, however I ain't complaining.

The CD version on the other hand it another matter, that just does nothing for me, somehow the sound seems to be less defined.

It's a matter of taste, really. If ROTC gives you the "live" feeling, that's great. It does not do it for me, at all. For me, it's the worst video release ever. For me, it does not look like a concert, it looks like a theatrical, smoothed and soft boiled "event", nothing of the actual live feeling is left. The hectic cuts, glaring lights, swivelling of cameras through the venue all the time does disconnect the film from the actual concert imo and makes it look like an art pour l'art film with no soul and no understanding of the music. Plus there is no bonus. Plus the stupid title and the horrible cover that looks like Jesus is coming back to earth and the fans are the stupid masses staring into the light.

I prefer the simple and honest documentation of a live concert as presented by the Japanese TV. Maybe I am just old fashioned.

"Maybe I'm just old fashioned" no it's just different taste as you say, funny thing is all those elements you mention make it for me, however I do agree with the no bonus and the title comments!

I shall be very interested to see the Jap one, and frankly i wish they'd do a US one as well. but I think that might get a lot of flack!

Agreed. It's looks like one big videoclip. It doesn't look real to me.

Agree with you YV, ROTC didn`t quite work for me either. That release was "cheap", enough said.
This Japan DVD looks exciting and with extras, so yes, I will by this one.

Sounds like a goodun! Just have to hope it's not too expensive for people outside Japan.

I never bothered getting the ANATO anniversary re-release CD+DVD set, so I think I might as well buy that ANATO 2DVD set, since it apparently also has the whole album in 5.1 (DTS/Dolby Digital?)

Bit OT, but since we`re on the subject.
I have the 30th Anniversary Edition cd+dvd, but unsure if i need the two disc dvd that are soon going to tbe released. What`s the main difference between the two disc and one disc edition of "making of a night at the opera" DVD?

TheGame, just buy the one-disc version of the making of ANATO.

The second DVD on the two-disc version is simply the (disappointing, uninteresting, unneccessary, cheap, missed-opportunity etc etc) DVD you already have in the CD/DVD ANATO 30th Anniversary Edition.
