Viewed on my Sony 36" Hi-Def TV, yes, you can see quality loss going from Hi-Def to standard def but, it's not as much as you'd think, definitely not "most" of the clarity. I've filmed on many cameras and formats since the 80s, starting with 8mm, then Hi-8, then Digital8, and now Hi-Def, and since the source tape is so good originating with Hi-Def, the DVD-Rs I make when down converted to standard def, look better than any video that was filmed in standard def to begin with.
As for ebay in my future, ebay is my past. I did that for awhile and there was a lot of headache. There are a lot of non-taper resellers who bid on your videos just so they can sell it, and what's worse is that they're so impatient. They'd want the video overnighted "for a birthday present" (I read that in e-mails so many times that I lost count). Some of them would list their own auction, with the stills I originally put up, along with a lower price to attract more people, right after bidding on it, before they even had it. It was real cut throat stuff, based on the better a video looks, the more they'd want it from me. It just got to be such a pain that I stopped a few years ago. That is my biggest issue with this stuff - i'd be fine letting all the fans who want it for free download have it, but I know that within days, there will be a few sellers on ebay. Additionally, i'm not aware of ANY Hi-def audience shot sourced video for any band even existing yet on the internet so, that makes for an "exciting selling point". It's a shame because i'm sure 99% of fans would just watch it for their own enjoyment, but all I have to see is 1 person on ebay making hundreds of $$$, and my blood will boil. In my opinion, those people should go buy their own $2,000 Hi-Def video camera, and film the show on their own. Let them put the $$$ and effort into doing it. One of the e-mails I received tonight from someone on this board says - "ps. beware of another 'trader' from the Netherlands, XXXXXXXXXX (name removed). I appreciate the thought, and you of course mean well but, i'm afraid it wouldn't matter in the end. Even if I put a watermark, or something to that effect into a portion of the picture, resellers on ebay and elsewhere would still sell it. They would just "forget" to mention it.

Although I find it a damn shame that I can't see this (full) video, I totally understand your point.

Hi NY fan. To share the DVD on Queenzone you need a programme called maketorrent and a BitTorrent client. I recommend ABC. Both are free on the net.
Create a torrent file with maketorrent, it's easy and self explaining. Make sure you enter the Queenzone tracker as the chosen tracker

Store the torrent file in the same folder as the DVD files you want to share.
Now upload the torrent file to the Queenzone tracker via this upload link

Now load the torrent file from your hard drive into the ABC client and start seeding.

Yeah, sell it yourself on ebay on "buy it now" for $20 or so for a 2 disc set.
I'm sure if you put loads on you'd sell a lot.
Just don't send the DVDs out for a week or two to maximise sales and reduce the chance of someone else selling it while you're still selling it.
Even a CD copy of the entire show would be appreciated by all the fans if you decided not to release the video....

It all has been said before, but I would love to have a copy of this show. But I understand your reasons why you don't want to share it in complete form.
Still, if it is possible to get a copy somehow it would be great.
One problem that I have at this moment with all DVD-video's shared here, is that I don't have a DVD-burner, so I can't burn them and see them, and have to stick with MPG/AVI/etc at the moment. Still, would love to see it.
If you even consider a share or sell, please count me in.
