Meaning of "Headlong" lyrics?

I LOVE this song, one of my favorites, and I love the video too, but what the heck is this song talking about? I read the lyrics, and I still dont know what the song is talking about, its a very catchy tune, and fun and upbeat, but its kinda hard to enjoy a song, (well, I do enjoy it) but I just dont know what its talking about. I know that no one in here wrote the song, but can anybody give their take on it at least?

All i can say is BRIAN looks hot in that video! Wearing his oversized Bart Simpson tshirt and guiness beer in his hand... just a lovely video.

You are totally right on that one. I see the same too.

Back as a teen... me and friends used to sing along with this song in the car. The only thing different was when we sung the chorus. Instead of singing "headlong"... we sang "longhead."
