Wow Togg, what are the specs on that bad boy?
Same as Roger, cira 1980 however there are a few updates as per the current kit, I have the DW foot pedal and all Zildjian cymbals, I also have added a wood block by the side of the hi hat which I use on Crazy Little Thing instead of the cowbell.
sizes are 10x9, 13x12, 14x14, 16x16, 18x16 with a snare 14x6 1/2 the bass is the only different drum to Roger it's 24x14. all Ludwig classic maple not forgetting the rototoms as well.
It started out as a project to copy Rogers kit back in 1980, however over the years I have added other smaller drums 13x9 and 14x10 for example, plus smaller cymbals from time to time depending on the type of music I have to play.
I have recently added Zildjians 'crash of doom' which is a large cymbal 20" crash that sound rather like a gong, which I now have under the china 24".
Sometimes my band have been known to do the Queen tribute stuff at a gig and in those cases I set up as per Roger, however most of thetime it's a hybrid of stuff allowing me as much flexability as poss.

He used a mix of Paiste and Zildjians from 1973 to 1982. He solely used Zildjian K cymbals save for The Miracle period where he went back to Paiste save the video for The Miracle's title cut.

Indeed he did, I have been converted to 'K's' in the last few years, from 1980 to 89 I was playing largely Paiste myself, I have also experiemented with Sabian, however the 'K's' are just amazing, I have a full set now, the 22" K ride is stunning.

Then you have flight cases and mics!

For expample his ride cymbal is now £260, new but would have been about £50 back in the 70's
My estimate is the current kit costs approx £8,000
Bass drum is about £800-£900
Toms range from £200 - £450

Hmmm, I wonder....
Ah nice man. I have the Crash of Doom too. I used to try and replicate his set but after a while it started getting uncomfortable for me. But nice set and sweet sizes. 24" chinas are always fun as hell.
