TSK TSK it's a shame that people still have to put other people down. The person asks a legitimate question and gets reamed. Okay now everyone in Queenzone is impressed with the intelligence of 928. Now life can go on. Feel secure now? UN-FUCKING-BELIEVABLE. Instead of posting insults all the time, try posting music.
I haven't seen anything from you here except for HOW TO posts.
By the way Drew, I convert FLAC to MP3 all the time to keep space on my IAUDIO player even though it plays FLAC and WAV too. Unfortunately I don't know of any free downloads. I use Nero Encode Audio Files.

Popcorn anyone?
To convert flav in another format use the foobar2000-player.
it's a very good freeware-player who supports many formats & is able to convert them: MP1, MP2, MP3, MP4, MPC, AAC, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC / Ogg FLAC, WavPack, WAV, AIFF, AU, SND, CDDA.

HAHAHA...good one.I like it ;)
Havnt you noticed though.
There are more replies in here on helping how to make it lossy than in the thread of how to burn lossless.....(which should of been made a sticky to educate.)
But,it doesnt surprize me.

I think there are more replies because people feel bad about the rude answer the topic starter got from you, 928, and they want to make up for this.
While I agree with 928 that music should not be converted to lossy format (because there is always a difference and the more you convert it the worse it gets) I think that the better way to educate people is to explain the problem (most of the persons don't understand the lossy/lossless problem), not insulting them.

I think everyone agrees about converting from losless to lossy, but the poster, needs to convert for his own personal use. I have 139 songs
on my portable player,of which 85% is FLAC and WAV
and the rest is MP3 WMA. almost 25% of my 20 GIGs
is used because of FLAC and WAV so I can see why people would want to convert to MP3 at a high bitrate.
But for sharing here in QZ, I would love to see all FLAC like Dime.

I forgot to mention that I thought your thread was helpful. I just thought your response in this thread may have missed a legit question.
If a person has an MP3 player and wants to listen to music on that MP3 player why shouldn't they be able to convert, for personal use, those files.

OK,if it was genuine,then i humbley appologise.
But in forums when you leave the opening post empty & then add a second post with the question,it signifies a wind-up j/k.A sort of keep quiet everyone......
As i had just literally gone barmy at the mp3 upload of the Buffalo gig when the txt in the Flac Buffalo download specifically said not to ...AND make a post on How To Burn Lossless Flac To Disc.......i thought it was piss-take at me.
IF i was wrong.....sorry.
But you should still make the Thread on burning Lossless woth Nero a sticky so that people who have never seen a Flac or Shn will know what to do with them!
For personal use of mp3......use Db Poweramp with the flac plugin.
Google it

In case you are not aware 928, YourValentine did ask for your permission to post your information in the Queenzone BitTorrent Q & A. I think it's a great idea since your post was very informative.
BTW that was good of you to apologize for your comments in this thread.
