Yep, I have always said that.

Of course, I have always said that Freddie's whole demeanor changed between Live Aid 1985 and the 1986 magic tour.

If we go by Mary Austin's statements, then Freddie knew during the 1986 Magic Tour that he was HIV positive.

Peter Freestone says he found out in April of 1987.

No matter who was right....there is a visible change in Freddie between 1985 and 1986 both in looks and actions.

In 1985 at Live Aid, Freddie looked and acted pretty much just as he did at Milton Keyes in 1982.

In 1986, during the magic tour, a mere 9 months later...Freddie's head looks swollen to me, his neck skinny, shoulders sunken in, yet he is flabby in the middle..... the same Freddie could be seen strutting around thin and built at Live Aid just a few months earlier.

The "Live at Wembley" that we have come to know is the Saturday night show. Watch the the Friday night show. The intro to Crazy Little thing, he pauses as though he has something heavy on his mind....then dedicates the song to "all you crazy faggots out there."

My bet: even if Freddie didn't technically know he had HIV by 86's Magic tour....he "knew".

According to the Cooper clinic in the USA, Average time on a adult male for HIV to become full blown AIDS (if it ever does, there is still so much we don't know) is approx 9-12 years.

Given Fred's death date of Fall of 1991, he COULD have been carrying HIV since the late 1970's....no doubt by the early 1980's.

By 1986, he had to notice changes in his body...I say he knew.

Some people who were close to Fred have said 1988/1989 is when he found out....I say bullshit to that.

you mean "all the crazy people out there"
I believe he said both.
If you have the Wembley '86 dvd it has footage of the friday and saturday shows.
On one night he says "people", on the other night he says "faggots".
Just to clear that up.

Matt
Innuendo or Kashmir? Both awesome!

Watch your Friday night disc 2 dvd with your Wembley dvd set.

Freddie very clearly says "This is dedicated to all you crazy faggots out there".

He says it almost with disgust....in a tone of voice certainly not of someone who was indeed a homosexual themself.

On the Saturday night concert....he just says his usual "this is for anyone who is crazy out there."
