A very good version! Tasty. Full of "air". It's like taking a deep breath have a menthol chewie in the mouth. I like the bass. It's compressed in typical "Country & Western" style. It updates the song IMO. The middle harmonies - Fantastic!!!

This song has some very high harmonies...used the old pliers i suppose... ;)

Cheers,
Adam Steen

Hey Aric, when are we gonna get loml?

Peace,
Adam.
Okay, big edit on this post... forget what I wrote a bit ago if you already read it.

First, thanks Adam Steen for the compliments. I really appreciate the kind words.

Second, love of my life... I'm going to post it without the harp. I don't think it's worth holding the whole song up for what might be a very poor sounding harp anyway (samples, you know).

Anyway, Adam B was kind enough to send me a good sounding piano sample. My only real beef with LOML is that I sang the vocal too intimate and you can hear little pops and such from my mouth! If they were a bit quieter it would add character but it's driving me crazy. However, I'm not going to re-record the vocal at this point. I think the mix is pretty good right now.

Without further ado (or excuses):

And yes, yes, I know the vocal is slightly out of tune in a couple spots.

Very good keep them coming.
who the hell is aric??
john pistlli
Me. Thanks for asking.
Aric Keith
oops sorry i will give i a listen.
john pistlli
No worries, no apology necessary. Just listen if you want, if not it's okay!

I'm just a nobody who likes performing Queen tunes in my little home studio.

It's a little late now, but I find that when I want a good harp sound, I just start talking about a memorable anecdote from my past, and before you know it I'm having a Flashback. Harp sounds. Wobbly lense effects. BAM!
I like it man! Crap... I wish I had decent equipment to record a quality sounding song like this. What all do you use? Later bro.

@tenchijin2: you have a very nice voice :) do you have singing lessons?

No, I have not taken singing lessons. Trained singers can usually tell, but I've been singing a long time and have learned a lot of tricks.

For recording I used basically hi-end budget (to be oxymoronic) gear. Digirack002, a Focusrite ISA428, ADK Hamburg mic, MXL V69 mic, Burns Brian May guitar, and so on.
Aric Keith
Nice equipment ya got there. What do you use with your Burns guitar?

Peace,
Adam.
I have both a vox 'deacy' amp (which is what you hear on these two songs exclusively) and a V-stack BHM edition. The V stack is featured on most of the others I've done: like Death on Two Legs, Stone Cold Crazy, Killer Queen, Tie Your Mother Down, .

Also, I have a fairly inexpensive Sigma acoustic guitar (which I've had for 14 years) and a cheapie Yamaha keyboard.
Aric Keith
well really nice!! :)
