Okay, so apparently I didn't research this through!!!!

But dates with all the same numbers don't count... it was the 1-2-3-4-5-6 thing that I found interesting. And now you backward Brits get to have it your way next month. So be it. :P

The rest of Europe is just as "backward" :) We call it logical. Day-month-year is a date starting with the smallest unit and ending with the biggest. While month-day-year is not really logical...

And in older traditional English it was 6th of April, that's why people still say 4th of July rather than July 4th. I would like to know why it changed

Yeah..I'd say April 6th, but it's not like it's strange for someone to say the 6th of April here.
