Great gig . . . the Four Amigos made another appearance with their sombreros and maracas . . . "The Show Must Go On" was stunningly good. Again. They just get better and better.

Yes, the crowd was more than decent actually. Enthusiastic and happy. It was pretty full. Ga ga arms were a little slow at first, but they caught on. People came in from all over for this one . . . Linda from Canada, Ogre just barely made it from his business meeting in Trinidad/Tobago; Sarah, Gavin, Terry and crew from the UK . . .
For the encore, the crowd and the band were on fire. It really rocked.

I think we're not hearing much about the concert because of its location. Most of the people who went to the Las Vegas concert are probably from somewhere else and therefore don't have immediate internet access. We'll probably get more reviews as we approach the end of the weekend and the attendees are back at their computers.
I'm usually a lurker here. I've been a Queen fan since 1976 at 10 years of age. My freind across the street was a little older than me and had Queen posters and 8 tracks. I've been a loyal follower ever since.
Because I grew up in Omaha Nebraska, I only had 1 chance to see Queen...and my sister wiould not take me!!! I;'ve been waiting ever since. When the Phoenix, AZ show was announced, I bought my tickets the first day. Alas, I was told I had to attend a trade show in Frankfurt, Germany the week of the show. The irony that I was on the right continent at the wrong time was not lost on me. I did manage to catch a decent Queen tribute at the Music Messe in Frankfurt, but that only made me hungrier to hear Brian play.
Before I left, I check the rest of the tour dates and saw Vegas. I called a couple of friends up and we made plans to go. We just returned home a few hours ago.
Sitting there, waiting for a 30 year old dream to come true was pretty staggering...what if I was disappointed?
I was not. The show was pure energy and lots of it. Paul was in great form and his voice was staggeringly solid from start to finish. That maginificent tone of Brian May...I stood with my arms open wide to catch it, to absorb it, to feel it, to live it. It was magnificent. He was near flawless. A broken string right before "Last Horizon" had him go to a backup guitar. It was clear that this was a different instrument. The pickups didn't seem quite as hot and the sustain was missing. The only flaw in an otherwise magnificent show. LOML came earlier than I expected, but was wonderful. I sang every note, much to the dismay of my freinds, who didn't know the words, but the crowd sang along pretty well. I was screaming for 39, but it did not happen.
The Bad Co and Free songs were a wonderful fit and they totally rocked. In my mind, nothing was lost having them in the set. The crowd responded well to them. Roger's comical announcement of Celine Dion was hysterical. His voice was wonderful on IILWMC, but when he sang TATDOOL, he nailed it. I've never like him singing it much, but I have a whole new perspective now. Unbelievable.
Radio GaGa took things up another notch and added electricity to the already magical night. Under Pressure blew me away. I never liked it too much when it was released, but became a fan of the song after hearing it live. When Brian sang his solo line, my friend leaned over to me and said "I've got chills" and I knew exactly what he meant.
Bo Rhap was astonishingly beautiful. I've heard it, seen the video but I was not prepared for the masterful way Freddie was woven in. How I wish I'd seen Queen back in the day when Freddie was alive, but this was truly a night I'll never forget.
A nice score today was that in Paris, where WWRY was performed, the WWRY store had everything 70% off!! I got loads of stuff...even the vaunted 6 pence...for 70% off of $5.00...or $1.50.

Seemed like a packed house to me. I was on the floor and looking around, looked like everyone in the entire arena was standing the whole time. Great fan participation. Could have been better but great for a U.S. crowd. Notable moments, Brian's string breaking during the solo, Dragon Attack (didn't see that one coming!), Under Pressure had everyone rocking, Seeing everyone clapping their hands to Radio Gaga, more and more people each chorus and of course, singing my guts out with 17,000 people to BoRhap, WWRY and WatC. It was an awesome night. Much better than the Hollywood Bowl show.

For me Vegas was a better show than the one at the HW Bowl, great venue, am I the only one who reads the "no cameras" on the tickets? My daughter brought in her phone and got a wonderfull video of LOML and you can hear my other daughter singing along, Very cool. the only downside is that my feet still hurt from the WWRY stomping on the aluminim bleachers, (like an idiot I wore flip flops), we stayed across the street but spent most of time at MGM as they had Queen music playing in the casino,
