haha. I'm not American so i don't know whats so bad about Wal-Mart but the south park episode was funny! [/QUOTE]
Well, the episode pretty well described it. It's just a huge store that offers just about anything and because they have such a huge stock they can afford to offer everything at lower prices. That's all fine and dandy but in turn they are closing down all the independant business who just can't compete and after awhile you drive around the country and every city starts to look exactly the same with Mcdonalds and Wal-Marts and Starbucks being the local landmarks everywhere. It seems to be taking away the character that once made these cities different and tears down the diversity and richness of whatever culture was once there, and the US needs what little culture we still have :-/ It's all for the sake of some group of stuffy old farts making way more money than they will ever know what to do with.
hate to say but I still shop at Wal-Mart all the time cause it's close to me and well, lower prices. I dunno...the world makes very little sense to me. Fortunately South Park always helps make a little more sense of things. heh

Who cares about Wal Mart, when you've got Led Zeppelin?
