Don't know what I did wrong, but when I tried to watch it in my VLC player, all I got was a black screen and no sound.

did anyone else see the country guy sing FBG and immediately realize that it was very similar and just as horrible as Kid Rock's version? He should have gotten the boot right then and there... Of course he got the boot in the end so I guess it all worked out.
It took all of 2 songs for me to realize why this was the first time I'd ever sat through an entire episode of the waste of space tv show. After Simon ripped the choice of Innuendo as being too indulgent, it just verified that all he cares about is selling f'ing albums and seats to the pop-mart...err... american idol tour. As we all know, selling records does not mean you are talented. It means you appeal to the immature tastes of 13 y/o boys and girls everywhere who have the ability to influence their parents into buying them whatever they want.
Too indulgent? Does Simon even know anything about Queen? Innuendo is EVERYTHING that Queen was and continues to be. It's big, it's bombastic, it's flashy, it's indlugent, it's complex, and it's powerful. I wish nothing but bad things for Simon. I hope the black guy gets really hungry one night and decides that Simon would make a great meal. Then again... that might be too easy an end for him. He should be locked away in a padded room and have to listen to the end of Seven Seas of Rhye for the rest of eternity.

At least Paula Abdul (who's still hot!) acknowledged her lack of a brain when she mentioned that she 'didn't realize how hard Queen songs were to sing'. No kidding! Really? They weren't one of the greatest bands of all time simply they had a flamboyant frontman . Singing Queen songs is certainly a lot harder than singing a duet about how 'opposites attract' with a cartoon cat. At least she admitted her ignorance though.
