i was confused why queen had a "new" singer with a moustache in the 80's, but it was logic, their first singer with long hair from the 70's died of aids... *blushing*
i always thougt the high voice parts in their songs always sang freddie, - and not roger.
i was wondering why freddies voice sometimes sounds so different in "who wants to live forever".
i always thought brian must be the gay one of queen, don't know why ;)

But when i got into the band, i bought GH1+2 and I looked through the booklet which had the Radio Gaga picture. I looked at it and noticed that Roger wasn't wearing a vest, so i thought that he wasn't 'that important to the band' (Just because he wasnt wearing a vest, and others were, i guess? lol)

When I first saw a picture of Queen I thought Brian was Freddie, that hair just made him seem like the kind of personality Freddie had.
Ha! When i first became a fan i got John Deacon and Roger Taylor mixed up..and yes, i too though Bicycle Race was on A Day at the Races because of the title too. When I look back to the early days of being a Queen fan...i think to myself "what a stupid asshole!" lol
I once thought "You're my best friend" was played on Sesame Street, I swear that there is one of those segments where they used that!
I used to think that the writing credits on the album sleeve were the name of the group member that did the voals on each track.

Well I'm a fairly new fan, or at least a fairly new big fan. I've always been a fan of their music but I only just saw what they looked like a few months ago.
My biggest shock was Freddie. I have no clue why, but I always thought he had long, almost platinim blonde straight hair. I have a memory of watching the Bohemian Rhapsody video when I was little, and for whatever reason I remember the guys faces illuminated in the dark, but the guys having blonde hair. I also remember a concert at the end of the video and the whole crowd holding lighters. I might be remembering a combination of the Dr. Pepper commercial, Wayne's World and the actual video, but I thought I was losing my mind when I realized that Freddie was a normal looking guy with normal hair, LOL.
I had seen pics of Freddie before but I always assumed they were just weird pics of Steven Tyler.
When I first started really becoming a fan I couldn't believe how many classics Queen actually has. I would be listening to their songs and AOBTD or IWTBF or Under Pressure would come on and I would be like "wow, they sing THAT too?!"
I definitely misheard a lot of lyrics. I though they said "sometimes men should never be born at all" in BoRhap and "Just gotta get right out of mia". I also thought the song was telling a story, as in, "mama just killed a man."

I see that no one here thought that (like many bands) Queen have had 2 lead singers? (look at the differences of Freddie between Bo Rap and "magic")
