Stone Cold Crazy kills me every time I hear it - what a kick-ass song! It almost seems too fast to even comprehend. It stops. It starts. It pauses, and does it even change key? How difficult is it to play?

It's not as tough as you might think, guitar-wise. The drums are pretty movin' though!
It's one of our favorites to play live. For vocals and drums it's pretty fast, but not that hard!
I know they couldn't play Dead On Time live because Fred couldn't handle vocals at such speed
Oh, I love doing Dead On Time!
It's not really that hard, really.
I'd love to learn that song. I hope it's not too hard, cos I don't tend to handle fast stuff fairly well. The skin got ripped off my fingers when I was playing 'Sheer Heart Attack' today and they went purple too. Not very nice :(
Yeah, I've played guitar and bass guitar for like forever, but the pain never seems to end for me!
Same here. I get awful troubles with that. When I started playing guitar I was told in the book I was learning from, "At first your fingertips may be sore but don't worry, they'll toughen up after a few days."
Almost one year on, and the pain is still unbearable, especially when I play acoustic. But I put up with it and it still sounds good.

Oh, the pain is mainly there when I play electric guitar, and my fingers never really seem to get used to the metal strings. Same with the bass, the pain never really went away... how sad. But I keep playing for the same reason as you, it just sounds real good. ;)
Pain after a few months of playing seems strange. Unless I spend several hours with a song using a lot of bends and slides and so on, I don't get sore any longer.
Granted, I've been playing for 17 years...

I always sing Stone Cold Crazy too fast :-S.
I think I'll introduce the song to the band :D.

My band plays it as an intro. Its not that hard if you play it live. I play drums and I sing SCC. Its easy to lose timing but its still fun to play. Especially if you add cowbell haha.

Man, if only you were around back in the day, Queen could have had your band play it live for them!

Drumming and singing SCC at the same time should be easier. I need the hi-hat on my monitor to be able to stay synch with the beat of the drummer. If you drum and sing it yourself, you automatically stay in the same beat. :)
