Rudesheim

Hello!
I'm going to Rudesheim this December for the Christmas Markets.
I've looked on the internet, atlas, Google Earth,etc, but it's location isn't marked (as i think it's a smaller area than others) and other information is very limited.
Has anyone been here? Or does anyone know its location and any info about it?

Rüdesheim is a historical wine village and it's part of the Rhine valley which is world culture heritage. The Rhine valley is very worth visiting with its medieval castles, unique landscape and the traditional old villages. Rüdesheim is the most "touristic" of all Rhine villages and it's very busy and not very "original". The least interesting "attraction" is probably the Christmas market. You find a better and bigger one in my city, about a 20 minutes drive away. Since the landscape is not so beautiful in winter, anyway, I recommend to visit my city and a couple of other interesting places. Thats probably well worth doing but we're with a holiday company and we're going by coach pratically everywhere (how fun) So, each day we have specific places to visit and less free time to venture. We probably will be unable to go there, unless they offer trips.

Do you know it's exact location? I can't seem to find it anywhere!

Does Dresden still have a Christmas market?

I think yes but that is as far away from me as possible. The most famous "Christkindlmarkt" is in Nürnberg but I think ours is better. More drinking and chatting and less tourists. Right now I am glad winter is over.

you see Frankfurt where you will probably arrive, then to the west the twin cities Mainz (my city) and Wiesbaden, not far from these following the Rhein (Rhine river) you see Bingen and then Ruedesheim.
