Nail Vanish... Queen style!!

Nuno Bettencourt does the same thing to this day, and I'm positive that it's a nod to Freddie.

It's funny... when I was about 12, I finally convinced my mom to get me the black nail varnish... I did this by requesting black AND white and doing a half-and-half.

I actually stopped doing that some time before I found out about this Freddie guy, as it turns out the black rubs off on things - like paper on which I was writing or drawing. I switched to bright, bright, red for some time...

I believe that Freddie nearly always had the left nails black... just the left.

Gee, I may just do that... my left hand wouldn't make a mess of the paper, and I'm right-handed... so painting the left is just plain easier... Coordinated? Nah...

I believe it was Freddie's left hand. I did that for the concert actually. And when did Brian do one hand white? I've never heard tell of this!

Brian does his left hand also in white. Check very carefully in videos like, Bohemain Rhapsody and Killer Queen. =)

I love that style! When I went to get my nails done a while ago, I told the lady, "paint one hand black and leave the other plain." Just like Freddie! XD She was like, "Excuse me, I think I misunderstood you... I thought you said to leave one hand black and the other plain!" I just said, "Uhh, yeah. Exactly." :-P She kept asking me if I was sure, lol. Any ways, it turned out great!!

I love Freddie's nail polish. For the past 2.5-3 years I've kept my nails painted in that style pretty much all the time. I *love* when people ask me about it because it gives me a chance to talk about my faveorite subject, QUEEN lol lol

I paint all of my nails black...but I did this thing once where I put glitter in when the polish was still wet...looked really cool at first but when I played the violin with it the stuff chipped off and my fingerboard got all sparkly. :-P

hehe me too! :-P except when i have to wear my ROTC uniform, we arent allowed any varnish on our fingers when we wear them so...

I just love the style... i dont care what others think of it!

yea I agree with you...that style looks really really cool...even if it wasnt for Freddie I would like painting them that way

I bought white nail vanish last week! I finially found some.... I have like three pots of black already. I'm obessed with the style!

i did brian style on my birthday!!! lol..duno why..i'll make sure it doesn't get chipped!

I tried Freddie's style. Unfortunately the nail varnish was quite crappy and came off too easily. I'll have to buy some proper black stuff and try it again.
