Ahhhhh, man, I'm head over heels in love with this woman!!! Just hearing her songs makes me wanna learn spanish!

I liked her when she first made her english debut back in 2001, but I had heard of her before then...I just love how she puts her heart and soul into her performances!!! I know somebody on here called her a crackwhore not too long ago...but regardless of that, I think she is talented. I looooover her new song with Wyclef Jean called "My hips dont lie" the video is hot!!!
She dances so freely and beautifully, yet, it doesnt come out as nasty...at least to me it doesnt...

This is one of favorite Shakira videos 'Ojos Asi'. I guess you have to be really open-minded to like the video, but regardless, I think she is very talented, and regardless of her accent...she has staying power, and has the strength to be a LEGEND!!!

I'm a Shakira fan =)
Topic starter: are you looking to get shredded to little peaces by those of us with eardrums who know how to use them?
I used to like Shakira back when she recorded 'Piez Descalzos' and 'Donde Estan Los Ladrones', her breakthrough albums in Spanish.

Back then her songs were original and her lyrics were deep. Despite being a gorgeous girl, what stood above anything else was the music.

Then Shakira decided to cross-over to English. She released 'Laundry Service' and although 'Whenever Wherever' was a pretty good song, the rest of the album was a huge dissapointment. The songs sounded like like pure pop cliche crap, and her image became far more important than anything else.

Last year she recorded that shit song 'La Tortura', and completely sold out by following that fuckin' awful reggeaton trend, which is by far the worst music genre ever.
The rest of the album was not as bad as 'Laundry Service' but still dissapointing.

P.S. I didn't call her a crackwhore, but I said she looks like one.

I miss the old Shakira who kept herself as a natural brunnette and used to go on stage with jeans and a guitar.
