Moustache curiousity...

ive been reading Queen-The Definitive Bio by Laura Jackson, and she says that Queen performed at the 1984 Montreux Golden Rose festival a month after having filmed the video for "I want to break free", but in the Ballet section, Freddie appears without his moustache...Assuming that this scene was filmed at the same time as the rest of the video, i am puzzled that he appears (as we can see on the DISC 2 of GVH2) fully moustachioed. Im just curious, but would his moustache have grown back this quickly? Does anybody have a moustache? I simply must know the answer to this vital question...

I thought he filmed the middle part of the video last of all (shaved moustache) and filmed the beginning and end (with the moustache) first, so he didn't have to wait for it to grow back again.

i think u can grow a moustache in a month, its not impossible

Yes, that seems reasonable.

the only logical way they would do it is have him shave the mustache and do that part first, then let it grow back and shoot the other ones later, or vice versa.

I thought that too and my mom was like " It doesnt take a long time to grow a mustache!" and I was like ...oh um ..I see.

Well as we all know, Freddie is a very hairy man. I know people who shave in the morning and have stubble by the end of the day. So for Freddie to grow a thick moustache like his, i'd say, less than a week. 5 days maybe, but yes in the film clip they filmed the middle part last.

5 days? No way. Think: 3 weeks.

Also remember this: every time you shave a moustache or anything like that, it will grow back faster and thicker.

Given Freddie's moustache, I think he could have grown it back in two weeks time.

Well, it makes sense. Freddie was a hairy man, so he could probably grow a moustache faster than we think.
