Well as we know a bit, the band members weren't exactly close friends in the social aspect of things. They didn't hang out together much, they just did what they had to do really...
But what about Roger Taylor and Brian May? They didn't have to do this tour, and other things. But are they close friends? Because it seems they hang out alot still...

They are best friends, Roger even says it on Return of The Champions after Say It's Not True.
They were more than friends. They were brothers, family really. How could you not be close to someone you spend 20+ years with?
I think they are close now. I mean we dont know what gos on behide closed doors. They seem really cool to each other. It's all good.
I know in the later years they all didnt hang out socially as you say, but they did go to each others parties and what not. And you could tell they were all good friends even though they didnt hang out all the time...
So they may not be best friends in the way some people think of it, but i think that they had to be close to eachother after working together so long.
Didnt they live together in the early days?? they shared a flat or something right??

Let's not kidd ourselves, they are lovers.
Brian wrote "Brokeback Mountain's" screen script while reminicing of a weekend he and Rog had.
Both in their "I want to Break Free" uniforms of course.

Well, Brian and Roger were friends back on smile(almost 40 years ago)then freddie appeared and they continued beeing friends, but freddie was a "consumed" person, so they became , each one, more friends of freddie than each other. when freddie died Brian became best friend with Cozy Powel, and had a minor relantionship with Roger and John. but when Cozy also died, in 1997 , brian felt lost, like if we "had" to have a new best friend . that empty space could oinly be filled by Roger. Seems childish, but it was pretty much what happened...
Well i was curious because freddie said that they weren't really close friends or anything in the interviews and that playing in the band was more like their work/business and whatnot....

I'd imagine Brian and Roger are good friends. As far as I know, Brian doesn't have any brothers or sisters, so I would think that he would get lonely if he didn't have close friends.
