The last postings are indeed proving a bit how it works. A well meant topic, with true meanings is soon colored by attacks and things that better should not be said.
But it is so easy to be a hero and insult or attack behind your keyboard, what is not the same as when you meet the same person face to face.
I so often hear people, young and old, complaining, about the board, about the chat, and I rarely see anyone trying to make it better
Is it so that it is useless? Or is it just that we do not think it is worth to try at least to make this a happy place for yourself and for the one who reacts on what you write?
Isnt it a challenge to show that you are also able to put some positive input at the board? Is it wrong to look to yourself and consider what you do? I think that it doesnt hurt you. Anyway I can recommend to do that now and then

there are also elder 'young fans' that just have that destructive contribution, so I don't blame it on age, more on a way that they try to get attention

How about if when a thread starts to get nasty (which of course it shouldn't, but will) someone posts a link to THIS thread to remind everyone what this place is supposed to be about? Just a thought. May not do any good if tempers are hot, but it couldn't hurt either, could it?
