queen as a band are gone, when I went to see queen + paul last year it was pretty obvious to me that this wasn't queen. Anyone who says it is in denial.

Exactly, if you believed Queen were dead you don't like them. As long as they still sell records/cd's, are still played on the radio and still have people dancing to their music blasting through their stereo's, people, this proves Queen is very much alive!!

Not really, i mean Queen the band are dead, it consisted of FOUR members, one is dead and one doesn't want to be involved in anything new. So to say Queen are still alive and well then that's wrong, i wasn't against the tour or anything, but you can't so boldly label it Queen.
However, the legacy of the music they produced does still live on, look at how many of the younger generation that are Queen fans.

They don't feel dead to me because I never saw them live. They've always been a recorded band to me, so I honestly think the argument is moot. People die all the freakin' time but that won't stop me listening to music. People who get caught up in the semantics of it and bitch over a curious sequence of 5 fucking letters are just wasting their time.

hey i just joined here, i've been listening to queen for a while, but in a way i've only just started to REALLY listen to them. i hope i don't make myself sound too stupid
i would say that queen isn't dead, but discontinued. a band can't really die, unless they start like trying to do rap or something, then they deserve to be killed. but anyway, queen can never come out with a new album again, but i went to the queen and rodgers concert when they came to minnesota, and brian may completely changed my entire aspect on not only just queen music, but all music. and that was just may, not to mention taylor was kick ass too. so if they can still do that, they are far from dead.

LED ZEPPELIN222-From one ZEPPELIN fan to another welcome! Queens first couple of albums are very Zeppelin oriented and even some of their later stuff had some of that Zep power, I guess that's why I love both these bands, anyways Welcome.
