Green Day lead singer has cancer!!!!

I just found out a couple of days ago that Billy Joel Armstrong has cancer, I heard it was lung Cancer caused by smoking too much. He is known to have smoked since he was 16 years old and also he is known to have taken drugs. He has kept this illness from the public for over a year now and has finially revealed it 3 weeks ago, but I only found out since Monday. He will be having treatment soon and will hopefully get better.

Who here likes/loves Green Day? Also did anyone here knew about this already? Just passing on the news..... Peace. x

A friend of mines whos a dedicated Green Day lover/fan told me this on Monday. She was in tears for most of the day, I wonder if his Cancer is actually treatable. I mean he's taking treatment already but whos to say it might not help....Though that would be bad to even think about. I'm not really a BIG fan as such but I have some of they're albums. I do hope he gets better. They must have some kind of fan club site or something. Check there, if it's not there then I really don't know. But this friend of mines wouldn't dream of making this kind of thing up so it has to be true. I don't think she has her facts wrong eigher. Ah well, hang in there Billy.

Hmm.. it seems a bit weird that this hasn't been on any news sites. I know his dad dies of lung cancer.. I hope it's not true.

Also I went to Green Day websites and message boards, and no one has commented on this.

Someone give me there international Fan Club website the main one they have. I want to post a topic about this and see if anyone knows about it. I just want to do this to put my friends mind at rest and ofcourse others who like them alot and don't know if it's true or not.

I think you should edit this thread. It's quite obviously untrue and it's no fun to spread such rumours. You would not like to see such stories about someone you care on a public forum.
