BOBBY BROWN WROTE- I´m a huge fan of Van Halen, and i think that it`s a waste of talent the situation they´re living!!
The reason they're not doing anything is because of Eddie. I know he had cancer but I think he's o.k. now.Eddie Van Halen has some strange quirks about him, a lot of people cant figure him out.

I thought one of the major issues was that they recorded over many of the earlier would-be outtakes because the tape was so expensive.

Just repeating what Ed said in an old Guitar Magazine article (it was a special all VH issue). Of course Ed's had something like 15 operations on his tongue, so maybe he was just really hard to understand!
P.S. how do you quote somebody's comments on this site?! Am I just missing a button or something?
Yep. I'd rather be the Paul-Gilbert-after-28-beers that I am, and be a reasonable person, than be as good as Eddie Van Halen and be a prig.
Of course, I don't know him so I won't pass judgement. :D
[QUOTENAME]Bob-Plant wrote: [/QUOTENAME]Maybe someone has made this point before, but if there were any songs, any good songs, that had Freddie vocals in the vault, wouldn't they have used them for MIH, rather than re-doing stuff from Mr. Bad Guy, Freddies solo album? That doesn't mean they wouldn't have kept some stuff for the future, but it just seems like their state of mind (back in '93-94-95) may have been "Queen is over, let's get this stuff out there". Of course, only Brian, Roger and John, plus possibly Jim Beach, really know for sure. Hopefully we'll find out...someday.
Their back material wasn't well catagorized then. It was messy. A couple of years after the album came out they hired Mr. Brooks and he found stuff that they either forgot about or didn't know existed. So no, they wouldn't have necessarily used it on Made in Heaven if they didn't know about it.

Aye. That's 20 years of doodling around in various forms, I should think it'd be terribly easy for them to not know everything that the other members recorded.
