In an email I was also told that GB told the fans "that the Anita track "Let Me In (Your Heart Again)" had been recorded by Queen for The Works and was better than anything that WAS on The Works..." (thanks to Thanks:)

I think that with the benefit of knowing it's a Queen song, you can actually tell that she's following Freddie's guide vocal (to the best of her abilities).

The Beatles are in a class unto themselves and always an exception to the rule. Queen are not The Beatles. Anybody else in the last 10 years? Twenty years? A Queen Anthology will sell well in the UK and Europe but it won't sell "through the roof" and it won't sell Beatles Anthology numbers, and we both know that.

Excellent point Mr. Faron Hite. The Beatles were a once in a lifetime phenomenon. Queen's fan base, I would guess, grew exponentially after the release of GH1 and Live Aid. I can't see the interest in a Queen anthology as I think the support for Queen is in their singles as opposed to albums.

Actually as concerned as I am about the box set selling or what have you not only worldwide but in the U.S. as well I do think that it can and will do well worldwide AND in the U.S. with some degree of promotion and with Queen coninuing on with new studio l.p.s and tours to keep letting the public know about these releases. I think as long as they sell enough to stay in print for a good number of years it will all be good. Of course the more the merrier. With that said there are many groups from the Cure to Bon Jovi to David Bowie to who knows who else who have released c.d.s and box sets of demos and rare stuff that have sold well enough. If everyone had to be the Beatles there wouldn't be but a dozen or so artists other than them. With that said Queen are one of the largest groups in the world...I think they can do anything they want as long as the material or what have you is good enough in the first place.

I would personally rate Queen higher than the Beatles because I think Queen's music will hold up better over time - a long time. I've gotten many more hours of enjoyment listening to Queen's music (much more so than the Beatles or Elvis or Michael Jackson or others that were hugely popular in their day). The Beatles songs are not the sort that I can listen to repeatedly without growing tired of them eventually. Queen is different and I don't know why. There will be the support of those who love Queen's music above all other music (including support from future generations - I'm guessing).
