i have a question, did they ever performed that song completely live? i've heard only start music versions, but the best part:
They freeze me they burn me
They squeeze me they stress me
With smoke-blackened pistons of steel they compress me
But no-one, but no-one, but no-one can wrest me away
Back to Humans.

i've never heard alive, it's amazing song...
Instrumental snippets were performed during Spike's keyboard solo.
A good song that. Depressing lyrics, though.
During the Works tour they kicked off the show with Machines intro. But, i think thats about it.
"It’s not often we play in daylight, and I fucking well wish we did before, I can see you all now. And there are some beauties here tonight, I can tell you!" ;)
Question about another part of the lyrics.
what the hell does It’s self-perpetuating a parahumanoidarianised mean?
'self-perpetuating a parahumanoidarianised' means that all the robots want to do is become the new humans....just read the lyrics darling, it should make a little sense.....gotta love it when Roger and Brian write a song together... =)
Baby you've been had......
Machines and Keep Passing The Open Window (or something like that)... are great songs indeed. Too bad they were never done live. Machine intro in Last Live in Japan (or whatever the name) concert is really strong and kicks ass. They should have done both live.

And since we're on the subject Nevermore would be a very poweful song in live performance. I still can't understand why Freddie refused to perform it live. I wonder what compelled him to write it and never sing it again. Also Dear Friend, what a jewel.
