we're on about the fourth or fifth episode of series 2 in the UK.
i still think that it could all be some kind of Reality TV skit

where they drugged them all when they got on the plane. put them into a "fake crash site" and then watched to see how they cope...excpet the whole world is watching on tv...and that's what THEY and WE all get to find out in the end?

the ultimate Reality-TV-Parody eh?

I have no idea what to think of the island, and about the underground fascilities. I don't think it's a psychological study place. Because they signed for 4 or 5 seasons. And it would be stupid to spill the beans after 1.5 season.

cheers for ruining it for the UK watchers. well done!
Do you know what I think? I think that when they thought these storylines up: ('monster', the Others et al) they were unsure about what these things actually were, but once they thought up a suitable explanation, then we would all find out the answers.
I think with all of this Hanso Foundation stuff being brought up, the story line is going to get way more indepth next season. I still think the Hanso man looks like Locke's dad.

I believe that's how most serialised story-things work. That's how some novelists (and other writers, I'm sure) work, too. This is really where it's "make or break" for a show since it's a risky thing and a TV show is unlike a novel in that it's put out episode by episode and you can't go back and change things. Probably why most TV shows have largely self-contained episodes, so there's less about which to worry...

Brian's 'fairy' looks like it's in the classic Freddie pose. :-)

But with knocky knees! That fairy was originally going to be a space-ship...!

Hmm i don't think so. I think they had a main plot. (what the island was, the defence system, and some stories of the characters) but that they develope it more as the series goes along.

Lost is really great, every episode you learn some thing knew. But now, after 1,5 years you know as much as you did when the series just started :D

Everytime you learn something a new mystery pops up. thats what makes it interesting.

I absolutely love lost. I truly think it is the best televsion show in the history of the world!
My favorite character is Locke.

Jack is just too goodie two shoes, and Sawyer is an asshole.

After Ana Lucia's death, Sawyer said to himself...

GREAT! Now who am I going to bang?

No, Sawyer is a bad boy, and that is sexy..;-)

(Btw, I just accidentally posted that under Pieter's name. Would've been funny if I hadn't noticed!)
Locke is so annoying, he always says stuff like "This was meant to be" "It's fate" and he always has some philosophic answer to evreything.
Jack's the best one, he is the only character who isn't wierd, he's honest. All the others have mysterious pasts, and hide stuff all the time.
If Im not back in five minutes...just wait longer
Hurley is the best!
