For those of you who don't read The Scottish Sun (if any), a chain smoking eleven-year-old girl (now twelve) from West Lothian is pregnant after getting drunk and having sex with a fifteen year old boy in Edinburgh.
I didn't think this was biologically possible, but there you go. She could still be at school when her kid starts. This is clearly complete madness, anyone disagree with that?
Her mum is supporting her, and even says she is proud that her daughter is giving birth and not giving her child up.
Any comments?

I'm sue I read somewhere about a pregnant 11 year old yesterday as well. The only difference was that the father was 31!!!
I'm sure that when I was 15 ( although it was such a long time ago I may have forgotten ) 11 year old girls weren't even on my radar . They were consideed stupid and ignored. My peers wee desperately trying to get a glimpse of our older brother's playboy mags. Or at least trying to find out where they were hidden.
Apparently this girl has given up drinking but not smoking - roll-ups apparently.
I hope someone has the courage to follow up with a child protection order.

no that's true. she was very early developed for some reason. it's very rare, but it happens. the girl was raped and she got pregnant. this happened in the 40's I think.

Biologicly speaking a girl can have a kid at the age of 8 and not any younger. Also, it is more healthy for the baby to have a 12 year old mother than a 50 year old mum.

Apparently the prefect age for a woman to have a child is 14/15.....I'm 14 and i'm not planing to have kids for a while!!
