Can someone please tell me what MSN is? People have been telling me to get it, and I am considering it now. What does it do and how much does it cost?

Its this thing were you can talk to different people who give you their address, its real good, costs nothin and you get it on the msn homepage
Are you joking?
Anyway, it's a free program enabling you to chat with people you have added to your 'buddy list', who have also chosen to accept you. Accounts are made on an e-mail basis, and there are options for filesharing, RichText font makeup, and the likes.
The downside: it's by Microsoft, meaning it often locks up, shuts off, or has other kinds of errors, especially on older, ultra-new and non-PC computers (MACs, mainly).
