And if that is so, perhaps the lineage should be: AUD > Master > 2nd Gen Cassette > WAV > CDR (x) > [unknown software for ripping and converting to FLAC].

Now, I checked the files after downloading, and 'The Prophet's Song (cut)' on CD 1 is corrupt. Or, rather, it was corrupt - I have fixed it.

The corrupt file will play fine in most media players, but it could cause problems if somebody tried to make a new torrent for this show. So, if you plan on making a torrent, please download and use this file instead: http://www.mediafire.com/?8n9dd910rg2

(Tech info: the last four seconds of the file had no media stream. I decoded through errors using flac.exe, then loaded the wave file in Adobe Audition and cut off the troublesome end of it. In fact, I took off 8 seconds, so that the track would end with screaming audience and not one second of Freddie-starts-to-sing-again, and faded out the last second so that it would not end so abruptly. Then I re-encoded to flac, level 8, and finally ran shntool to fix the SBE. Oh, and there was an SBE for the last track of CD 2, too. It does not really matter when it's the last track, but if you're a perfectionist, you'll download this for replacing '09 Big Spender! - Jailhouse Rock - Stupid Cupid' on CD 2: http://www.mediafire.com/?a9k1j93sgzh .)

Unfortunately it's not. This one has more tape hiss, so it's probably a third or fourth gen, or a worse transfer of the tape.

Please seed this for a night. There are many peers out there and no-one is seeding!

Anyway I'll be recording the lineage by modifying Bob's lineage thusly as I think it's the only fair way to do it.

AUD > Master > X Gen Cassette > WAV > CDR (x) > WAV > FLAC (level 8)

Unless of course someone wants to share the 2nd gen version! ;-)

I just checked my old copy of this show. Although it's good (great sound and complete show) it has a lot of hiss (the kinda hiss you get when a cd-r is rotten...)

So now I'm looking for a replacement copy...!
