My mom is clingy, too. She thinks that I'm an easy target, and if I go out, I'll get raped. When she says, "you can go with your sister", but I say I'd rather go alone, she gets all suspicious and asks why I don't want my sister's company. [/QUOTE]
Same here. Except my sister is in Germany, and I have to go with my younger brother, who is 15. And she always picks "rape." Not like you'll get hit by a car or your purse will get stolen. She always picks the worst possible thing that could happen to me. What a worry wart :P[/QUOTE]
- My mom is the same way. You see, rather than assuming my mom is a worry-wart I recognize the fact that she wants me to be safe at all times. Truth be told, I'd rather get hit by a car than be raped, but some young women are not given the opportunity to choose. And your mom is right: all women are easy targets for rape, honey.
