I wish that wasn't true but it probably is....
No way.
These 2 didn't hang out exclusively because there was two completely different lives being lived here.

But rest assure, they loved each as close as any 2 brothers ever could... they toured and conquered the freakin world together... were the chief songwriters of how many Gold/Platinum albums??

They were more than "just band mates".

That goes for all 4 of them.

Agreed!
Aw, this thread is making me kinda sad... :( I think Freddie was close to all of them, but probably a little jealous of John cause he had the big happy family thing and all.
[QUOTENAME]Queen T wrote: [/QUOTENAME]Hmmmm...and I read he had a special bond with John (I think it was Peter Freestone interview)...I can totally see that too...

I think he was close to all of them in different ways...Roger because they both liked to have a wild good time and John because Freddie did have a quiet and shy side too...

I still think John myself though...

John business wise. Both of them said they wouldn't think of 'hanging out' together.
"Please buy my upcoming album... I need the money"
Roger. I think Freddie thought"John is Jr. brother."
kaybb
it was freddie + roger and john + brian
but you don't give me comfort and a man's gotta get it somewhere -brian may i'll give you comfort brian XD
I think Roger was the closest to all three of them. According to Fred's driver, Rog was the only one who went to dinner with Fred, or to the parties, plus Freddie was Roger's best-man. Rog was sort of close to Brian as well, and he went skiing with John. So there you go.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

Well, Freddie did write Soul Brother for Brian. I think it was a little joke between the two, but they were friends as well.

But I agree, Fred & Rog seemed to be very close. Fred also took care of John, especially in the early days. I think he was sort of a big brother to John.

I also think Bri & John were close, cos they were both interested in technical side of their instruments, amps, etc.
Roger closely followed by John. No discussion.

Right. In Spain, for instance.

Ah, finally!!
"The others don't like my interviews. And frankly, I don't care much for theirs." ~ Freddie Mercury
although it's not really known completely, here's the way I see it:

Freddie liked to party and have fun. So did Roger. They both would be out having fun, drinking, etc., so that takes care of Roger and Freddie.

Freddie was also somewhat shy and introverted at times, sort of like John. When in inteviews, though, both of them would have a lot to say. John is known for being quiet most of the time, but in interviews, he does speak a lot. Freddie is similar in that way, but he also is not quiet on stage, of course! lol

I really don't see too much of a connection between Freddie and Brian though. They were very close, obviously. Frontmen of bands usually have a strong bond with their guitarist/lead guitarist or whatever. So that's the only way I see Freddie and Brian close to each other. I really wouldn't know though.

Personality wise, I would say Roger was closet to Freddie. Their happy-go-lucky attitude shows whenever they're out having fun. Not only that, they both have a certain eccentricity within the two of them, which can be traced to their personal lives.

There you have it, I guess...
