You are sooo lucky!! Two amazing musicians in one concert! I love Billy Joel, it's kind of sad, actually. Or at least that's what I'm told. Same w/ Elton John. :D

I actually went because of Elton and came away liking the Billy Joel set better! :-) It was great when they played their pianos together, as well. They are both incredible musicians.

NEW YORKER: What da' fuck have chu done to my fuckin' house!! I'm 'na beat da' shit outta ya!!

BILLY JOEL: Look I said I'm sorry. I really need help now. I don't care about the money, just get me out.
NEW YORKER: OK, chu kno' wat? I'll take ya out, and you're lucky dat I'm tryin' ta be kind, but chu betta get me a house in the Hamptons afta' this.
BILLY JOEL: Thanks, I appreciate it.
NEW YORKER: Holy shit! It's Billy Joel!
BILLY JOEL: Yep, I'm sorry I wrecked your home, but don't worry I'll pay for all the damage plus compensation.
NEW YORKER: I can't fuckin' believe this? Will ya sign my 'Stranger' vinyl. It must be in the attic, somewhe.
BILLY JOEL: Yes I will, but could you call 911 first?
NEW YORKER: OK, and don't worry 'bout gettin' my house fixed. I can get it fixed myself.

I love Billy Joel just as much as Queen. (close anyway)
Please people...do yourself a big ass favor and pick up Billy's albums...his "B sides", to me, are bigger than the hits alot of the time.
ie: "Uptown Girl" is one of his lamest tunes to me, and its one of his biggest hits.
My favorite BJ songs are:
Vienna
She's got a way (from attic)
don't ask me why
the stranger
leave a tender moment alone
cold spring harbor
stileto
zanzibar
you're my home
summer highland falls
new york state of mind
damn, there are so many.

Billy Joel's music doesn't do it for me really, but I readily concede that the guy is an incredible musician. He's infinitely more versatile a pianist than say, Elton John.

Here!
I believe Amanda's post has made my feelings on ol' Billy quite clear. ;)

Geez, I had no idea so many people liked Billy Joel, here! :D
Billy Joel is the closest thing to a stand up comedian among pop/rock stars. If you go to one of his shows he will joke around with the crowd in between songs.
I love the bits where he reads bad song reviews from music critics, then rips the paper to shreds and proceeds to play that very same song.

Billy Joel is my favorite. I've seen him twice solo, twice with Elton John, and once in one of his college lecture things. He was fantastic every time.

Gotta love it. :D

Is there any footage of him doing this?
Or when he's "break dancing" on top of the piano, or being a "musicomedian", or any of the antics I've heard he does during his shows for that matter. :p Any info would be appreciated, I've looked but I didn't find any...
It was awesome when he was on "Inside The Actor's Studio". He's funny as hell.

Anyone on "Inside The Actor's Studio" is funny, cause I find James Lipton hilarious. ;-)
Will Ferrell playing him is even funnier, though. "SCRUMTRULESCENT!!"
