Come on anyone except England!
The main reason I don't want England to win the world cup is that I live in a place where there are lots of English people and we'd never hear the end of it. Hell, they're still going on about the last time they won it...FORTY YEARS AGO! Seriously, you can't watch an England game without the commentators mentioning '66. Try it, they always do. Loads of English people say to me "Why not? Why won't you support us?" Well, why should we? If Germany didn't make it in, they wouldn't support France, would they? It's a Scotsman's duty not to support England. Scots tend to adopt a team and support them. I'll be rooting for Sweden and Trinidad and Tobago. Although Brazil will probably win again. My dad usually bets on about six or seven teams, and he works it out so that he makes lots of money whoever wins (unless it's a team he didn't bet on). In Euro 2004, he had three of his teams in the quarters, and Greece won it. He didn't bet on Greece. So I tend to support them coz if my dad wins money, he can take me to Parkhead or something.

I also am just going to enjoy watching it, mainly, as Scotland aren't there.
This can't end well.
Well it's better to qualify then fail against Norway, Belarus and other such shite.

I think we've a great chance. Hopefully us, if I had to have a bet it would be Brazil though.
Holland has a great team but somehow they always fight against themselves. Brazil can win anytime but there could be a surprise winner.
I do not want any google ads here.
Part of me feels like Brazil will get jinxed with the overly big favoritism they're getting.

On the past World Cups there's always a team(s) that comes with praise and is expected to give a great performance, but ends up dissapointing everyone. That's what happened to Holland in 1990, Colombia in 1994, Spain in 1998, and France, Portugal and Argentina in 2002.

I don't care who wins as long as they're a good team that deserve it and don't play dirty/cheat.
"Ouch...owww....ouch... oh 'he pushed me'. Oh, i think i 'broke my leg!' Send him off! Penalty kick!"
"It’s not often we play in daylight, and I fucking well wish we did before, I can see you all now. And there are some beauties here tonight, I can tell you!" ;)
Argentina or USA :)
on side note...who is going?
MY GOD spell it write.
Holland will win
It is time that for once the best team in the world will win and wash away the blame that still rests on the shoulders from 1074
:)
Another fantastic posting of a wonderful person! ================= all we need is internet-blog-blog, internet bla-bla http://saturn.queenzone.com/ === Let's make ourself better then we were befo

hahahaha that first game against germany will be a piece of cake!!!

Im a Costarican and Im being sarcastic!

Well, I've only been to one World cup game in my life and that game was Sweden - Costa Rica 1990. The result was 1-2 and in Sweden that's still a classic defeat. It meant the end of Sweden's world cup adventure and our team had lost all it's games with the result 1 - 2. So there is a lot of respect for Costa Rica in Sweden should they face each other in this tournament...

I want Sweden to play well. I'm afraid our team is too weak in defence, though.
I want Ronaldinho to smile and I would love to see great games.

Interesting... Is it because of Henrik Larsson?
Pretty much, yeah. But also because I have visited Sweden and it is a beautiful country, very much like Scotland in some ways. But better at football!
This can't end well.

Belarus are shite, are they? What'll you be saying now that they've beaten England?
And, by the way, I wasn't having a go at England when I said I wasn't supporting them. I think they're a good team, but I don't think they'll win. And, once again, why should I support them? There's no logic there at all.
This can't end well.
Brazil is the big favorite of course! If I had to put my money on a team, it definitely would be Brazil. Good outsiders are Portugal, England, Spain and Argentina.

Holland has a good team, but their defence is going to be a huge problem. But IF we survive the strongest group (Argentina, Ivory Coast and Yugoslavia) we might come far though.

I wonder how Germany is going to perform. They play like shit, but they always play good at big tournaments. And Ivory Coast might become the big surprise this year. They have a excellent squad with players like Touré, Kaou, Koné, Dindane and Drogba.

And what about Czech Republic? They might have had their glory days, but still it's a team to be aware of.
I got to try al little more, because I'm an asshole but I'm learning. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfTLkUcQ7QY
Argentina will possibly give a good performance as they play good when their team is not so overhyped.

Germany has the crowd on their side, but they're a boring team to watch play. The last time Germany had a superb team was in 1990.

I really hope an African team could make it at least to the semi-finals, as they always come across as the surprise team of underdogs but succumb to the big traditional teams.

How do you think the new England lad Theo Walcott will do?

I don't know... Those other teams beating Sweden 1-2 were actually Brazil and Scotland...
I've been to Edinburg twice. Like it very much, and would love to visit again soon. You're right, there are a lot of similarities between our countries.

Sweden has never before had three internationally respected stars in the team (Fredrik Ljungberg, Henrik Larsson, Zlatan Ibrahimovic) and when Zlatan said:"we can win the World Cup" it was like the biggest news and hedlines everywhere. That's so unswedish to proclaim something like that and experts where called in upon the subject and media was like:"is it really true? Can we win?"
But the last games have been terrible and if they play like that I'd rather they loose quickly - why not to Trinidad Tobago - because it's to painful seeing really boring football. Joga bonito.
