WHY DOES THIS ALL REMIND ME OF ONE AUDIOGALAXY TROLL! YOU FILTHY CUMGUZZLING LADYBOY!

Seriously, the similarities are there.

I don't think that guy is Greg Brooks. You're all being hoodwinked, bamboozled and played for a fool. I don't see why GB is so vilianized, he organized the Queen tapes and probably saved some real gems from being ravaged by time. As long as no relics are destroyed under his watch who are you to question his work.
[QUOTENAME]<font color=lime>KillerKing840 wrote: [/QUOTENAME]If people have nothing useful to say, what's the point in replying? Give GB a break, for fuck's sake. He's "challenging" the so-called "experts". If you think you're an expert and you're interested, contact him. If not, then why can't you just click on the little "X" on the corner of your screen?
i think people won't "leave him alone" because he started the insults. most of the "experts" in QZ are more than willing to help. the vast majority of these are very nice people. however, like most nice people - we are all ok until riled. GB has flounced in here (on many occasions - some several months ago) and been (at best) impolite with those he's asking help from.

1. he's working for QP (contracted) and therefore is portraying Queen in a very poor professional light
2. what the f*** are Queen upto? employing somebody in an expert capacity who doesn't know how to find information that most could find easily by using google?
3. who does the think he is? some of the people he has insulted/attacked are genuine people who have done nothing to deserve this. these people have always been a source of help and information to all at QZ in the past.

Let's face a fact or two here - if you write a book and make a mistake or two - that's forgiveable. But to make at least one mistake every two pages - in a work of non-fiction is just plain ignorant. His apparent laziness has meant that many new queen fans have bought his book (at £8) and are now assuming everything they read in there is accurate - very sad.
He's also refuted comments about certain obvious erros in his book.
Finally, when he has shot every last insulting bolt he can, he then has the temerity to "challenge the experts"...this is plain bizarre...is this so HE can claim the credit for his next project actually being accurate, while spitting in the face of the people he so clearly despises?

Hear hear. Which he knew would happen. We're a self-fulfilling prophecy, a cliche and we're too stupid to see it.
Greg, there's no need to SHOUT

I'm sorry but this is a disgrace. Here we have Greg Brooks, contracted by Queen productions who has to go on a website and ask fans for information on single positions because he hasn't a clue, I have only just entered this and I can barely believe what I am reading. It is an utter farce and sums up the whole shambles that is Queen productions. I am sick of endless, pointless compilations, I am sick of waiting for Greatest Hits 3 even if fred will look ill on most of it, I am sick of waiting for an early concert, I am sick of reveiving rip-offs like A Night At The Opera 30th Anniversary when Springsteen fans got a whole concert for Born To Run. And now this lack of professionlaism. It;s unbelievable. Sort it out!

And what is it for anyway? Another pointless singles collection.

Well, Here in Perú, Bohemian Rhapsody went number 1, around 2002 in Radio Zeta Rock & Pop(which is the best Rock and Pop oriented one, as its name suggests). As the one who ahd more airplay over the years. But it was like some radio from Holland, only the seventies´ music could have an entry.

(The fact is that we do not have a country wide or unified chart, so the most prestigious music critical elements do their charts).

I hope this is worthy for you.

IT´s difficult to have a selling chart here, because people mostly buy pirate cd´s or bootlegs(not me).
Considering the standards for tact and respect Greg has set for himself here, this seems to be as genuine and friendly an appeal he'll ever offer to the people of QZ.

I must admit, I'm curious to see what will happen with this one.

For those of us who don't have Greg's email address, how shall they contact him privately as he suggests? Unless we know this, his inbox is going to be pretty bare. I'm not sure how he'd feel if someone else posted his email address here.

I don't believe this.
I come back here after almost a year, and THIS is the first thing I see!?
Shit...
you people got it all wrong.
Being a true QUEEN fan is not about the level of "detailed knowledge" that we have, but instead it's about the level of understanding in our minds and love in our hearts that we have for QUEEN.
Mr Brooks, Id like to help, my email is in my profile.

Mr. Brooks. I have some info. Queen ALWAYS played Keep Yourself Alive BEFORE Liar.

Bumblebee Tuna!
I am afraid I can't really call myself an expert, but I guess over the years I have built up a pretty sound knowledge of Queens work, particularly about recording and instruments used etc.

However, dates and chart positions is not really an area that interests me.

As you don't seem to have a submitted your email address I suggest you post anything you are unclear on or need help with and see what flok know about it. Other than that I don't see how people here can help you.
