It's just a tribute. Indeed his 'journey to heaven'.
This track was actually recorded in the distant future, where quiet sort of ambient pieces were popular at the time. Brian did the whole thing himself (he's the time traveller) because Roger and John were scared to get in the machine. It's actually not quite as long as it seems.. some manipulation took place on the journey back, but with a little tweaking from Justin Shirley-Smith, it turned out rather nice back in 1995 and the band gave their approval.

I love love love love this track!! I listen to it whenever I'm upset and its long enough to get me to calm down and realise whatever I need to realise, and I like the little loud bits (wind chimes, etc..) in the middle they seem to help, and I love Freddie laughing, its great, and the "fab" at the end just makes it perfect, I love love love it.
I think it's more David Richard's composition based on It's A Beautiful Day theme...
I think it's beautiful. I keep mentioning that my fave part is the violins into about 5:06 into it. It's so atmospheric. I love it. :)
