John Deacon's whereabouts

I know he's been out of the spotlight since the Freddie Mercury tribute concert back in 1992, but has he pursued anything creatively since then? It's like he totally dropped off the radar. I was at least hoping he'd come out of retirement for the VH1 Rock Honors performance, but no such luck. Anybody know what's going on with him?
