1: Roger

2: John

3: Brian

4: Freddie

Roger has always been my favorite, from In love with my car to Loser in the end, and A human body, Tenement Fuster, Breakthru, Drowse... are all among my favorites. I also appreciate John's writing, it's simplicity and ability to write a hitsingle.

Nevertheless i love all of them as somgwriters, i don't think there's another band who hads 4 fenominal songwriters!![/QUOTE]

Anyone who puts Freddie in the 4th position of Queen songwriting may want to go back and listen to their Queen albums, and focus on the liner notes.

If I am not mistaking, on Queen's swansong, Innuendo... I do believe a dying Freddie is confirmed as to writing six of the albums songs.

roger 1
brian 2
freddie 3
john 4
queen are the only band i hear apart from metal
Freddie Mercury is one of the great songwriters from popular music!!!!so that is my vote
on my way up
i think Brian and Freddie tie for the top space and Roger and John are in either order, but musically Freddie was the best
"And still I fear and still I dear not laugh at the mad man" - Brian May Bri is soooo HOT!!!
Well, I guess it all depends on what musical styles you like...
"You are only young once, but you can stay immature indefinitely." - Ogden Nash

i think spongebob writes the best lyrics of all time. f is for friends who do stuff together. i mean hellooo ?! haha noo i think john was good, but he didn't write a whole lot. So i'd agree, Frian. ha
For me personally I'd say Freddie as I'd never heard anything like those beautiful harmonies. March of the Black Queen is my favourite song ever. The cleverest writer was Freddie. Brian also had a great talent and could go OTT, ballads and rockers (daft and hard). I think his songs were the most heartfelt. I wasn't so keen on Rogers earlier songs but other people who are into cool yet daft rockers would like Roger. However if you're into pop then John is more your type. Queen catered for everyone's need. I firmly believe there is a song everyone would like on every album, (except perhaps Hot Space)
