Review of Comic :
Page one : The bottom sides are a little bare. The sight-gags are great. Page two : I like the finger part. And everyone's hair. And the fact that no one it too anime-ish (I have a special place in my heart for anime, but it's not the most unique thing ever). A little eraser-y smudged. Page three : Partially cut-off, but that's not your fault. First Freddie's mouth looks a little strange. I like the stick people. Your hand-writing is better than mine. Interesting emulation of manga toner... Page four : His teeth are cute. The whole scene is cute !

You have good folds on the pants and things, very realistic (I've seen, and made, very improper folds that are totally incorrect...). Is that watercolour paper or regular paper ? It looks all crinkly...

Oh, yes, something general I was going to say, but forgot. The thing I don't like about drawing people in anime is that rarely do their faces look like their actual faces. I saw an anime drawing of Roger in the Fan-Art galleries and, though it was a great drawing, it looked nothing like him.
My next project is going to be a rather large drawing of Mr. Freddie-poo on my favourite medium - Bristol Board. I'm going to try that whole "really realistic" thing, since I've never done it before. Wish me fuck ! - - I mean luck ! Freudian slip !!!

Smooth. Only, I have to cut a piece of the REALLY big stuff since the only art-supply place around here stopped carrying the size I like (because they love me and they're playing hard to get).

What does everyone here think about copying poses/et cetera from photos ?
I don't like the idea, really. I have traced my own hand-made cartoons before, but never a picture. Nor have I copied without tracing.
I just think - it's great when you can draw well, but why draw something we've all already seen and have captured on film ?

1. We've already seen it all before.
