I have come to the conclusion, EVERYTHING IS GAY!....there is nothing wrong with "gay" but that word is being used so often :P
I really think it's important to be aware. If you use gay as a bad word you contribute to the opression of gay people. That's my point. Everything is not gay. Racism isn't, terrorism isn't, homophobia isn't.

yeah ofcourse. you're absolutely right. I would never use the word gay in a negative way outside in the real world. Still I think using it here on QZ is ok since we all know it's sarcastic anyway. I don't think anyone on QZ is homophobic (that would be sad!).
"it's better to be hated for who you are, than to be loved for who you're not"
both are bad, but i think racism is worse...
Racism is screwed up, but not gay :-p! Just for the notice..

Anyways, I once waited for the bus, when this guy started to say that he was going to beat me up, that he hated danish people, and stuff like that.. He was one of my schoolmates, and from a ghetto, and I was a little afraid that he might start getting violent. I laughed at him when he said those things, and asked him why he would´nt leave me alone, wich pissed him off. Finally the bus arived, and I made sure not to sit too close to him :s... fortunately, he had it all in his mouth.

I just find it odd, that he was showing off to some blue-eyed blond-haired girls from the fourth grade or something.. He looked older then me, and I´m sure he could have beaten me up, if it was what he really wanted :p..

Yes-

Racisim/homophobia is very wrong, but let me tell you guys something...you know how people say that color/sexual orientation doesnt matter: well, the sad truth is that it actually does, TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THAT. I wont go into details, but it does matters with politics, employment, family, society overall!!!

I'm african-american (black), I live in Wisconsin, and I only had one overall racist experience in my life, when I was working at Old Navy (and trust me, its not all happy like the commerical makes it out to be) and thats when this GAY white man asked me if did I go to pick some cotton when I went down south for vacation...I was lost for words, especially since the idiot was gay himself!!

E-racism!!!

Hey Jellybean

You should have told that asshole to go work at Abercrombie with the rest of the racist fags. After all, they're the ones who make t-shirts with racist overtones.

You could have also told him:
- "I don't know about me, but you would have be great at picking cotton since it requires bending over constantly".

Too bad for him that the Ku Klux Klan hates gay people as much as blacks, otherwise they would have allowed him in immediatly.

LOL Mr. Jingles...yeah, those would have been some sweet combacks!!!

I dont think he was really a racist, he was just trying to be 'cute.'(I heard that Paris Hilton called a couple of black guys n*ggers not too long ago, I think she was just trying to be funny, she needed to bitch slapped!!!!) I was too shocked to have a comeback for his ass, what you had above would have been sweet. I was so young when it happened (only 18, I'm 23 now) so I was a bit naive...but I did report him to my boss (who was also gay)...lol
