Gay as in happy?
Remember back in the 50s when GAY meant nothing but joy.

I love it, too! XD I feel so sorry for Ren, though!
-Things Have Changed For Me-
Funny how this topic turned into a Ren & Stimpy topic.

Coincidentially Ren & Stimpy have been regarded by many fans of the shows as gay characters, and although their creator John K denies this wants the intention, he has mentioned that he enjoys the fact that fans started thinking of Ren & Stimpy as gay. As the series developed, gay innuendos were added to the show.

When Ren & Stimpy returned for an 'Adult Party Cartoon', fans didn't react so well at the strong gay overtones. Apparently viewers enjoyed more the gay innuendos more than the uncensored gay relationship between Ren & Stimpy.

They were gay? I had no idea. :P
-Things Have Changed For Me-
Well, as I mentioned they were not inteded to be gay.

However, the fact that fans used to see them share a bed together made them think that the characters were in fact gay. When producers found that word of mouth started spreading about the sexual orientation of Ren and Stimpy, they decided to add gay innuendos in which Ren would play the role of the abusive husband and Stimpy would be the overly sensitive wife.

No! Freddie was straight, and his gaynes was just rumors, from jealous reporters!
He said several times, that a pair of human testickles (not including his own of course) was disgusting, and that gay people were the creepiest thing ever! He was a true homophobic, and you know it!

Queers! lol...
